Get Rid of Negativity

Do you ever catch yourself listening to negative talk whether it's through... Social media, friends, family, coaches, teammates, peers, etc. You see, negativity is all around us but it's up to us to determine what we let in and who we surround ourselves with.

You probably already know that it's important to surround yourself with positive people, but I don't think you fully understand the ramifications of not surrounding yourself with the right group. We form every thought, belief, and even certain instincts based on what we have been taught or have been familiarized with! Meaning, our friends and family could have more impact on us than we think. That beg's the question, "who in your circle is adding value and who is not?" I challenge you to take a hard look at your friends, family, and even co-workers that you've surrounded yourself with and ask the question, "Do they fit? Are they helping you become the best version of yourself?"

All that to say, I believe it is vital to your success in life as well as your goals to constantly surround yourself with the right people!

I will even take it a step further and say, be sure to put people around you that are smarter than you! I can't tell you how important this is...

For starters, when you surround yourself with individuals who are smarter than you it enables you to see things differently because you've been shown a new perspective. It doesn't do you any good to surround yourself with ONLY like-minded people, who will not challenge you to think bigger. You need to find individuals who will encourage you to see things in a bigger and better way.

Remember, you only know as much as you know...so surround yourself with great people who can teach you the things you may not know yet!
